Data and analytics
What data we collect, why, and how to opt out. Updated 31 October 2026.
What we do not collect
The site has no sign-up, enquiry forms or newsletter. We do not ask for your name, phone number or email. The numbers you enter in the calculator are processed in your browser and are never sent anywhere.
What the analytics count
To measure visits we use Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics 4: which pages are read, from which country and device type visitors come, and which site referred them. The counters receive the page address without parameters. The exception is the utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign source labels with safe values, which help us tell search, recommendations and AI answers apart. Session replay is off, and Google advertising signals and personalisation are disabled.
How to opt out
The counters do not start if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can also opt out manually: the button below saves your choice in this browser.
Cookies
The journal itself sets no cookies. The analytics services set cookies to tell visitors apart. Your opt-out choice is stored in your browser local storage.
